I did some calligraphic work for Jaxson tonight.  Spent some time Getting the scanner to work...so it took a while to upload.

Watching Killer at Large: Why Obesity is America’s Greatest Threat on Netflix tonight has reminded me of one of Aliyah's favorite econ lessons. I think it's pertinent this time of year, when so many people are vowing to "eat healthier" or "lose weight" or "exercise more." It's a simple thought, but one that I didn't fully process until Aliyah pointed it out. Here goes:

According to the basic principles of capitalism, no company selling a fatty or unhealthy food product has any interest in seeing their consumers get healthier. All the food company has an interest in is their own profits. In order to continue profiting from the sale of their food, they strive to keep the customer base they have.

Hey everyone, I have been reading up here and have gathered alot of useful information.  I have a few questions though and thought maybe someone might be able to help.

1) I am making a fursuit with foam to enhance the muscle form.  Most of the foam will be added in the shoulder, chest and back area.  I was wondering what would be a good foam firmness to use to simulate muscles.  In addition, on top of this suit I will be wearing armor that weighs quite a bit. (~30 lbs)  I have read up on ILD and would like some input from the community before purchasing some foam.  My line of thinking is to get the firmest I can get to minimize the deformation under the weigh of the armor, but I don't want it so firm I can't move.  Any suggestions?

2) I found some foam at JoAnn's Fabric, but it was $70 for a 5"x24"x36" piece.  Does anyone know any location or website that sells it cheaper than that?  Or is JoAnn's about the right price?  I need something pretty firm I think.

Hey all! ^^ I'm a total noob to fursuit making so I've been perusing this place and getting lots of tips and ideas for when I finally jump into making my first suit! However, I haven't been able to find much about one particular thing...so here I am asking it! What do you guys use for long hair on a fursuit, and where can you get it? The reason I ask is...this is the character I'm looking to make a suit of! Her bangs are the only thing I'm really unsure of how to do as far as what kind of materials to use. I've heard horsehair is sometimes used for longer manes/tails, or longer pile furs, but can you find fake hair in certain colors, or do you usually dye it yourself? Is it better to weft hair like this into the fur (a thing I have no idea how to do...) or what? Any info or help I can get is much appreciated. XD

Generally if i have words in a song i write them after the music is created, or partly created. Usually the words are inspired by the music and not the other way around (Though not always)
Anyhow, in case anyone cares to know, this segment is what i had looping in my headphones for the last hour (was it an hour? might have been longer, wasn't keeping track) while i wrote the verses of my previous entry.

If a piece of music has a feeling embedded within it, whether it;s one that i project or not, i enjoy riding it for a while... becoming intimately familiar. The words come easier that way.

I really like this segment of music, but i'm not sure what to do with it or how to make it fit into something else. I've actually been struggling with it off and on for a while. It's a pretty thick snake to wrestle... Ah well, i'm sure when the right opportunity comes along to meld it into a greater whole, i'll know.

Looking for both orange and black furs to match the fur on the partial I have.

Both furs are around 1" pile, maybe a tad longer. The orange fur is very soft and silly feeling, while the black is soft and has a bit of shine to it in the light.

I need at least 1/2 a yard of each, but would prefer a full yard.
